hypnotherapy is a wonder therapy, which is often like tuning a person's brain, when the person is in an almost unconscious state. This therapy is often carried out keeping a subject or end result in mind and is conducted by a professional Hypnotic Therapeutic. Hypnosis is a process or therapy done after putting the nervous system of the patient in sleep or in other words putting the patients in an almost unconscious yet aware state of being.
A hypnotised person shows certain characteristics and tendencies, which are unique and typical of that state. A non-hypnotised person does not show these characteristics. This therapy is often used on patients with the objective of modifying or transforming the patients or subject's behaviour, some habit, emotional content, etc and some state of mind and conditions like anxiety, stress, personal growth, and dysfunctional practise. This is also very helpful and effective in pain management therapies.
This therapy is used for the betterment of a person. In this process, when the subject is totally in a hypnotised state he or she is put to rest
in a relaxed state of mind and body. Their mind is free of all tensions and daily stress and void of any pre occupied thoughts. Such a relaxed and empty state of mind allows the hypnotic therapeutic to have a look and reveal the deeper inner sight and emotions of the person. This can also include some suppressed past troubled memories or instances, some fears or thoughts, which have adverse effects on the person's behaviour and lifestyle. The calmness and relaxed state of the subject's mind and body is quiet similar to that when we are in deep and sound sleep.
For a hypnosis session to be successful, there are three pre-requisites. First being an experienced and skilled hypnosis therapeutic, second being a subject or patient, and the willingness of the subject to be hypnotised without which the process cannot take place. For the person to be hypnotised, he or she needs to be mentally prepared and fully willing to be hypnotised. To make the subject feel comfortable, relaxed and to let go of all the tension and pre-occupied thoughts, the therapeutic often initialize the session with light hearted and casual discussion like about the occupation of the subject or the kind of childhood the subject had.
This therapy is a drug free and pain free therapy which is not only utilised in behaviour modifications but also in a series of situations and medical procedures like child birth, surgeries, psychotherapy to treat hysteria, insomnia and many more. It is also a very affective way to make a person stop smoking. When a subject approaches a therapeutic to quit smoking, the therapeutic explains him or her all the negative effects of smoking and supports your decision. This therapy is not a sure shot guarantee that the subject will quit smoking all together, but after the first session, he or she will feel a strong desire to move away from the addiction.
