The Truth About Why The Electronic Cigarette Is Under attack |

 There is a war going on in the media, online and with lawmakers across the US against the sellers and users of the electronic cigarette. Special interest groups like the pharmaceutical industry and tobacco companies stand to lose billions and billions each year due to the electronic cigarette and the effects that it has on smokers across the US.
It was recently estimated that 1 in 40 smokers have made the switch to the e cigarette and have left tobacco cigarettes in the dust. This does not fare well with tobacco companies that have a very strong position in the halls of Washington DC due to the millions that they contribute to campaigns and lobby fields. With 1 in 40 leaving tobacco for the e cigarette, this is a huge chunk of revenue that these companies lose.
The pharmaceutical industry is also losing revenue at break neck speed because when a smoker switches to e cigarettes, there is billions lost in smoking cessation product sales, and this is not good for their business. In fact, it is so bad for business that
one specific company has funded the group Action On Smoking And Health to the tune of 40 million dollars to run propaganda campaigns against the e cigarette in general.
The advisory board on the FDA panel that is openly attacking the electronic cigarette is either directly or indirectly funded by these pharmaceutical companies or the tobacco companies.
The governments at federal, state and local levels all gain huge from the sin taxes that are placed on cigarettes, and the e cigarette has no way to tax at the levels that took the governments years to get in place, costing them billions each year in totalitarian taxes to keep smokers as broke as they can while looking at documents that explains that most smokers will, or cannot ever quit tobacco cigarettes.
It seems that the only people who stand to gain from the electronic cigarette is smokers who make the switch and the companies that make and provide them, leaving special interest in the dust, but not if they can lie and mislead the public into buying the anti-e-cigarette propaganda.
